Orem is the third largest city in Utah County. Their nickname is “Family City USA” and they care deeply about building strong communities. One of the most foundational steps in doing that is striving to treat their employees as family. That means valuing each individual and actively seeking out their feedback and listening to what they have to say. Mayor Dave Young knew that a survey would be critical for improving employee satisfaction, retention, and performance. Not just any survey would do though. Mayor Young wanted to have a clear direction and be able to take meaningful action based on the survey results.
OnPointe Insights was selected from a group of interested providers. Orem received a study that helped them prioritize staff needs, measured levels of staff motivation and intent to stay, explored areas of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, and provided a powerful GAP analysis that made it easy to prioritize where to focus in order to make a meaningful difference.
