When you take our survey, you’re trusting us with your responses and any information you share. We take this responsibility seriously. Therefore, we want you to know how we will treat your submission.
Why are you doing this survey?
The purpose for all surveys is to gather feedback from residents and/or municipal employees to help leaders make more informed decisions. We appreciate your willingness to share your thoughts and opinions.
Can I be identified?
We will process information you provide fairly and lawfully. All information we share with city officials will be aggregated, keeping you anonymous and making it impossible to identify you personally.
Most surveys contain questions that allow for comments. We do not recommend sharing any personal information when making comments (names, phone numbers, address, email, etc.), We will withhold and not publicly share any personal information. If your comments seem to require city action, we will share them directly with the correct city leader, but withhold them publicly.
In rare cases, we invite participants to participate in additional research, and we ask for your name, email and perhaps other contact information. Such participation is voluntary and we always ask your permission. In such cases, we will use your contact information only for the stated purpose.
Will you sell my data?
We will never sell or share this data with any third parties, nor will we use it for direct marketing or any non-research activities.
How will my data be stored and protected?
All survey responses are stored securely, and we retain them securely for up to 7 years. This allows city officials to compare aggregate answers over time.
